Is Messagey! free?

Yes, Messagey! is free. Users are given a 30 day free trial; after then, ads will be shown. Alternatively, users can buy either a one year or lifetime subscription to eliminate adverts.

Why should I use Messagey! over other text services available in the App Store?
Messagey! has some totally new features, that aren’t available in any other app - these include: predefined messages, individual background support for each contact and camera background. Messagey!’s subscription plans are also much cheaper than most other apps.

Does Messagey! work with iPod Touch?

Yes, you’ll just need to make sure you’ve got a WiFi connection to send and receive messages.

Which carriers does Messagey! support?

So far, we’ve tested AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint, Boost, Verizon, Metro PCS, Alltel, Nextel and Cricket. It’s likely that other US carriers will work, but haven’t been tested yet.

Do my recipients have to do anything to reply to my messages?

They shouldn’t need to. Replying to Messagey! contacts is the same as using a typical cellular contact. If recipients’ phones are unable to send texts to an email, they may need to try MMS. Regular carrier rates apply, (including any plans or allowances they may have).

How am I notified of new messages?

If you receive a message to your Messagey! account, you’ll be notified straightaway with a push message.

To receive push messages, you’ll need to make sure you’re connected to a data connection (GPRS, EDGE, 3G or WiFi).

Does Messagey! work outside the US?

Unfortunately, Messagey! only currently works in the US. We’re working to bring support for other countries soon.

How can I change themes for individual contacts?

Just give a simple tap on a contact’s name to bring up a contextual menu - from here, you can change their background colour, add a background picture, change their push notification settings and alter their name.
